More chic than shabby, Brissi’s beautiful collection of period, modern and handmade furniture and accessories makes it this week’s favourite boutique.
Set up in 2001 by Arianna Brissi, the interior haven Brissi opened its first store in the country town of Malborough in Wiltshire. Over the last six years however Brissi has grown rapidly with the addition of business partner Siobhán McKeating, the small company has expanded into numerous areas of London to great response. Opening stores in only the most prestigious of areas, Brissi now has four premises in London – Notting Hill, Chelsea’s Kings Road, West End’s Marylebone and Richmond. With another set to open next month in South London’s up and coming Battersea, Brissi has successfully created a loyal following of patrons with their excellent selection and eye for detail.
Known for its signature white wares, Brissi has a lot more to offer than the usual shabby chic interiors boutique. Emphasis remains on classic design and elegant presentation, so you won’t find any distressing or attempts to age the pieces that Brissi hand selects. The stores are a shrine to clean living in the New England and French style and offer room displays which are ready to place straight into your home. Although the larger pieces of furniture are relatively expensive, Brissi’s accessories including ceramics, glass and textiles offer the same quality and exquisite design at more affordable prices.
